      2. Type “Device Manager” in the Search Box.
      3. Press ENTER.
      4. Expand the top category.
      5. Right click your keyboard device, select Uninstall.
      6. Right click your mouse device, select Uninstall.
      7. Close.
      8. Reboot.

You need to scan system files with SFC and check problems with them. Do the steps given below:

      1. Insert Windows disc.
      2. Click Start, type “CMD”
      3. Press ENTER.
      4. Type and execute the following command:
      SFC /SCANNOW
      5. Reboot.

    • I’m sure this is a problem associated with the shell extensions. Shell extensions are the right click menu items (technically known as, context menu items). In your case, malfunctioning shell extensions are the root issue.

      1. Use a shell extension modifier program.
      2. Retrieve the list of all shell extensions.
3.Right click a shell extension, choose Disable item.
      4. System reboot is essential.

There are some incomplete and failed Windows updates installation. What you have to do is uninstall their traces completely, reboot your system and then fresh reinstall Windows Updates again. Here’s how to do that:

      1. Click Start, type “Installed Updates” in the Search Box.
      2. Press ENTER.
      3. You’ll get list of all installed updtaes.
      4. Right click failed or incompletely installed updates, select Uninstall. (If you do not know which updates to uninstall, please remove only recently installed updates by sorting them by date)
      5. Restart.
      6. Start a fresh installation.

Well, I would suggest using a Rescue Disc in this case.

I think you might have to try Office Diagnostic program. If I’m not wrong; the program shortcut is located in the Start menu for earlier versions (like Office 2003, 2002, XP) and for newer versions (Office 2010, 2007) it can be launched through the Options dialog.

For your version, I would ask you to click File button (top left corner), select Options. In the new dialog click Resources tab and then Diagnostic. Follow the on-screen instructions.
