Thanks for the link to the “Printing in Outlook” page, Peter. There’s a link toward the bottom that seems to directly address this problem. thankyou
So, naturally, clicking on it returns a “This web page is unavailable” error. Figures. hmmn

Thanks much, Hans! That’s kind of what suspected.

      Progress indeed. groan

      Hi Ray,

I had this same problem just recently. Try this:

      1) Click on “Contacts.”
      2) Right-click on one of the contact groups you created.
      3) Click “Properties.”
      4) Click the “Outlook Address Book” tab
      5) Check the “Show this folder as an e-mail Address Book” box
      6) Click “OK”

Your entries should now show up in the Address book form, and Outlook should start finding entries in them when using auto-fill. cheers

      hope this helps!

Can you help me out with this problem…how do I automatically (in the macro code or email settings) stop a signature block being generated when using the template. My preference is to not disable this function ‘permanently’ in the tools-options menu.

I’m interested in this, too. help I did some digging around on the web and found this (http://www.outlookcode.com/d/ol2003problems.htm#sp1), but the solution doesn’t apply to emails generated from .OFT files. So, to raise the question again, if I have an email template that already includes a signature, how can I tell Outlook 2003 (SP2) not to generate a signature when creating an email from a template file? confused

      thanks much,

Thanks for the sample code. I wanted to do the same thing as the original poster, and this subroutine was just what I needed. cheers

Thanks, Joe. I tried playing with that after your suggestion, but OE still hijacked the mail links. I appreciate the tip, however. Maybe further noodling around will do the trick.

      Ah! The boards are back!

Thanks for the link, Doc. I’ll give that a try, since adjusting Program Access didn’t seem to work.

My thanks to both of you! The “automatic calculation” box was indeed unchecked. Funny thing is, I don’t know why that happened, since the old workbook worked fine in Excel 2002. Oh, well. I’ll put it down to one of the mysteries of MS Office and be glad that everything’s fine now.

Edited by HansV. You can’t use HTML tags like (without spaces) in a post. Instead, use the 1-Click TagPanel to insert Loung markup codes such as and .

In fact, you probably have been lucky with Word 97. I remember I had a similar problem when I got Word 97: spell checking kept reverting to English though all styles in Normal.dot were set to Dutch. Turned out that the keyboard language was set to English.

Huh. That probably explains the occasionally weird behavior I’d get in ’97, then. It wasn’t enough to make me suspicious, but now that I think about it…. Thanks. smile

      Hi Phil,

Thanks for the information — I’ll give that a try. smile
Why on Earth they made it more complicated than the Word 97 version, I’ll never know. confused
