      Thank you Steve and Hans

Both recommendations work fine. I just have to decide now which method I am going to use.

    • This works too!

    • Hello Hans

Pasted the code into a module in the workbook as instructed

and the value returned was #N/A.

I think I messed up somewhere confused

      You are the king

Thank you so much. You’re message came through just as I was threatening to strangle the person who dumped this mess on my desk.

I have encountered this problem recently on a presentation I did using the default bulleted list slide layout. The first bullet point is, as you described, blotchy yet the rest of the bullets are just fine. The only difference between this slide and all the others like it, is that this slide has custom animation set for the bullet points to change colour when the next bullet point appears.

I’d be grateful for any ideas.

      Regards

      Hans

Thank you for your assistance. I have created TOC based on styles before. The problem was that the report was not to have title sheets dividing the appendices where I could apply styles. They also wanted the appendices pages left blank without any text or title where there could be a pre-applied style because they did not know what they were going to put.

So after some not so gentle persuasion, they now have sheets dividing appendices 1,2 and 3 and styles have been applied. And following your instructions to say no when asked to replace existing TOC, it does exactly what they want it to do.

      Again thank you.

Thank you very much. My first ideas regarding the formulas ran along your solutions but the word Percentages caused my wee brain to get up an leave the room.

      Again Thanks
