    • in reply to: Anchoring tool – Access 2013 #1411080

Take a look at this Wrap Text in Access from the Access Blog and see if it helps you understand how anchoring works – it was introduced in 2010.

There was a short, effective video in there. Good stuff. Thank you, as always.

    • Perfect! My problem is resolved, as usual.

      Thank you.

    • in reply to: If statement in macro using Is Null #1397704

I used another field to test, a yes/no field, and the inmediate if. Testing for a -1 or 0 works.

Is Patt´s point valid? Did I structure the original statement correctly?

      Thank you all.

    • in reply to: Concatenation problem #1395913

      Thank you.

Do you guys realize how much you help?

    • in reply to: Concatenation problem #1395588

Yes. Here is where I am now.

      Expr1: [tblColonMst]![FstNameHus] & (” y “+[tblColonMst]![FstNameWfe]) & ” ” & [tblColonMst]![LastName1]

If I have no FstNameHus, I get the “y” in front of FstNameWfe. If I have no FstNameWfe, it works.

      Thanks for the attention.

    • in reply to: Calculate data on a subform; view in main form #1347341

It was the form vs forms that got me. Thanks a million for the help.

    • in reply to: Totals in form/subform #1342141

I finally got it. Thanks anyway.

    • in reply to: default printer Word 2010 #1333703

      Done! Thank you.

    • in reply to: 64 bit configuration #1324568

I am using the LastPass in a trial on another machine, and am pleased. Let’s say that I can live with that.

On the address book, I have gotten accustomed to the free form format. It is actually a small data base that lets me enter any information – names, nicknames, addreses, occupations, wife’s name, pet’s breed – anything anywhere on the form. Then I can search for anything in the file.

I have done a simple Access program, but it is clunky and difficult to use. The free form format is amazing, but I can’t find anything similar.

PASSWD, a simple password control and tracking program from, I believe, the Lounge. Also, a free-form address book called BCARDS32 from Midstream, sold to FatSoft (I believe). If this were a case of upgrades, I would be very pleased to do so, but I can’t download the BCARDS32 from the FatSoft page, and can’t find the PASSWD.

Quicken 2009 works, and I have not yet tried Lotus Organizer 5.01.

Thank you. Everything is fine. I was looking at form properties, and not the sectiion properties.

    • in reply to: Staying in touch with voice and video #1312910

Major problem with Skype for me is the lack of a touch-tone capability. My international calls frequently run up against menus that require touch-tone.

    • in reply to: In-built Access functions not working in queries #1310930

The referece to utility.mda is a relic from a much older version of Access. If you just untick it, I think you will the db works OK.

      Thanks. That did the trick.

    • in reply to: In-built Access functions not working in queries #1310786

How do you handle the non-existence of a reference? My Access 2003 shows a missing utility.mda, but I can’t fine it.

    • in reply to: Procedure using Null #1308289

The 0 works. Thanks. Strange things do happen. I appreciate the help.
