    • in reply to: Problem with migrating to PP2007 (2003/2007) #1068905

Simple work round: Open in 2007 and save as pptx file.

This does mean if you have developed something in 2007 with named slides, it may be difficult to export to 2003.

I would still be obliged if someone would test the above. I want to know if it is my set up of PP 2007 of if it is a general problem.

Of course your are right Hans (I’ve calmed down now).

It is just that if VBA had said something like: You can not set the foreground colour of this shape as it is set to No Fill and will not be displayed. I would not have sat all day at my computer and could have been planting my runner beans with the sun on by back.

Many thanks, I’m sure to be back soon.

      Working perfectly now. Many thanks.

I’ll probably be back soon …

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful. Stuart, if you were female, I’d kiss you. In fact, I might just make an exception …

I’ve said it before, the lounge is a wonderful place and stunningly quick.

    • in reply to: Copying Textbox text to another slide (2002) #1064529

I thought it should be something like that but it does not work, I think, because I am using a Control Textbox, form the Control Toolbox and not and Autoshape Textbox.

The error message is “TextFrame (Unknown Member): Invalid request. This type of shape cannot have a Textrange.

I’m using a Control Textbox as I want text to be typed into a running Slide Show.

A second dose of your help would be greatly appreciated.

    • in reply to: Control change size when I save presentation (2002) #1064526

I think I solved this bizarre problem. (Single slide attached to see what sort of corruption was happening.)

      Try this:

      Start a new presentation.
      Choose a simple layout.
Add a control e.g. command button.
Open Properties box. Notice that the Layout has changed (???).
Next Copy the control and paste the copy into the slide. (Layout changes again (???).

      What fun!

      Solution appears to be, I

    • in reply to: Go to a slide by Name Property (xp) #1062852

Hans, you are wonderful. I have already assigned Names to key slide in my presentation with the Properties Box, so your second reply is exactly what I require.

Just as a point of interest, obviously your first method does not work if names have already been assigned via the Properties Box.

Many, many thanks there is know way I could have found that.

    • in reply to: automate insert picture and name (2002 SP-2) #1060852

Does anyone know how to get the function in the previous post to work in PP 2000?

I would be satified with being able to select and insert a single picture.

      Thanks in advance.

    • in reply to: Word Confirm Delete (Word 2000) #935423

      YES! That’s what I thought!

It does not work on this one machine. Think I’ll try a reinstall.

Many Thanks for your very quick reply. Wonderful place the Lounge
