Nevermind. I was thinking backwards. What you suggest will work. Just use the upper font codes an not change the font. Thanks

Thanks for the idea, but CHAR() doesn’t allow me to change the font. I am trying to mix fonts inside the equation.

One way is to use 3 cells. Format 1 cell for the low value, 1 for the middle, and 1 for the high. Use IF statements in each formatted cell to give you the value or “” as appropriate. Then use the Paste Picture link. Copy each cell one at a time and paste them to the same location in the workbook. With no fill on the pictures, only one will have an image for a given value, because on one of the formatted cells will have a value at a given time. Somewhat complicated but it works.

You can use Excel’s custom formats but they only work for positive;negative; and zero values. So you would need to adjust your formulas to get things to work

You lost me there. You are right this is much easier with visuals. Let me try to clarify. The tree looks something like this
      +Templates
      –+Projects
      | –123
      | –456
      | –789
      +Standards
      +Marketing

There are a lot of folders. That is why we where trying to move some of them under a group heading like project. Hoping that under the project tab we would see folders that we could drill into.
Doesn’t work that way it seems

That was what I was afraid of. We seem to have too many folders. I guess we will have to use folders and unique names.

      thanks

.msg works well for Groupwise’s viewer. We save the message as an .mlm (file -> save) Word seems to open them up without much formatting troubles.
