Thanks, I have been looking at this printer but the spec sheet shows

      Operating Systems Windows 10, Windows 8/8.1 (32, 64),
      Windows 7 (32, 64), Windows Vista® (32, 64), Windows Server®
      2003 SP2 or later, 2008, 2008 R2, 2012, 2012 R2, 2016, 201911,
      Mac OS X® 10.6.8 – 11.x.

It will be replacing an Epson  XP-620 and that one has worked with Linux Mint 21

Will probably give it a try.

I’ve been running Linux since Linspire Five-O now on Mint 20,3 Cinnamon on my main PC and Mint 21.3 Cinnamon on my test machine. I have Installed Mint on laptops for a few friends who had gotten into trouble with Windows malware etc mostly the over 50 group like me, they all seem to be happier with Linux without having to go into quite a bit of training. Most use it for Internet Searches Email and photo/doc storage. Mint is somewhat familiar with what they used in Windows but a little more secure. The over-60 group seems intimidated to try this on their own but once they have used it for a few weeks can easily adapt. it is enjoyable to bring a PC back to life with a complete reinstall.

I did have this issue with KB3194496 and I am part of the Insider program. Even the Windows update troubleshooter did not work as I ran it 4 times. I can confirm that the Regedit XblGameSave is what worked on my system. I did not try the Media Creation Tool.

For me a Linux user Rhythmbox works well. No need to run MS Windows.
