I knew there was a reason to have bought all of these Access books. I finally got it to work.
The main part of the deal is
frmServices.Setfocus (This changed me from the main to subform)
      DoCmd.GoToRecord , , acNewRec

Life is grand when you figure something out that you thought you would never do!!!

Thanks for looking at the messages. Fay

I think what I need to know is how to do SetFocus to the subform while on the subform. Thanks

I figured a better way of doing that particular job. I used an unbound text box in the details section. Then did a control source where I divided the results in the detail section by the control in grand total sum. I appears to be doing the job correctly.

Thanks for trying to help. Fay

    • in reply to: Can’t delete blank 2nd page. (MS Office/Word 97) #1787135

Sometimes you can’t get rid of a page because you have hit the Enter key to many times. Click on the Show/Hide button, it looks like a paragraph symbol to the left of the zoom control on the standard toolbar. Then go to the bottom of your document, do you see a string of Paragraph symbols? If so delete them. I hope this helps.

Just for general knowledge. When you have one page that does not go to the end of the page it is advisable not to hit the enter key multiple times to move the the next page. If you are a keyboardist press Ctrl+Enter to move to the next page. Otherwise, select the Insert menu > Break > Page break. If you use a string of Enters to move to the next page the placement of text will be interrupted the minute you start adding or deleting text to the top of the document.

    • in reply to: where do I find custom dictionaries eg medical dic (W97) #536671

Hi Diana. I created a 82,961 word spell checker. I am not a programmer so it has to be installed as four files and activated via the Options dialog box. If your customer is interested have them contact me. I am willing to sell a copy to them. Fay hello
