I read your article because I like the cleaners. After your article I used my V 1.3 of Cleanup Assistant & decided to go a bit further than just clean, I decided to check how many empty folders I also had on my system since this software allows for it. It reported 18,000 empty folders. I would like to know if I can delete these or try many of the other cleaners to see if they will delete them. I posted a question in the lounge & am waiting to see if there are any responses. That’s a lot of files to just have sitting around empty.

      Thoughts?

    • Morning

The folders are in Documents & Settings Users etc. Half of the volume is in application data. Some of the names range from my Lexmark printer to my pdf software that was just recently used. Further investigation seems to indicate that there are at least 10 references to my printer. Looks almost as if the temp files are not being cleaned up after they have been used. They are all zero data.

I’m just concerned that if I delete them havoc will follow. To go through each folder which has zero in it won’t tell me anything.
If I did delete them all, I wonder how long it would take to re3fill them to the same point.

Any further info needed just let me know.

      Regards

Thanks, I need the sum values to be copied into another cell & need the number to reflect that it is negative. When I use custom nuber format I don’t have the facility to actually add it up to be a negative number. Unless there is a custom format to define negative.

Thanks. I was almost sure there wasn’t a way to do this
