To Bigaldoc;Cowboydawg; and everyone else who responded

Thank you so much for all your support, much appreciated.

You all have convinced to me to make that change over to Win XP so I will, and a special thanks to SMBP, for sending me the video clips concerning the comparison between 98 and XP, the really convinced me.

SMBP, I don’t have any knowledge of those book that you have mentioned in your post; I will contact the publisher to find out how I can purchase one. Thanks for suggesting the subscription; I will have to do this through my brother and send him the money; the exchange I figured out was almost $150.00, this appears to be an awful lot for a mag. I would like to subscribe for one year only, plus I plan on getting a back issue regarding installation; I will send a correspondence via email and see what happens.

If you could be so kind to send the ISBN number for the book, I will see if my local retail could start carrying the book. Please keep me posted.

Thank for all your amazing advice, and for all those of you who sent links, much appreciate.

Has anyone picked up a copy of “Micorsoft Windows the Offical Magazine XP” this magazine is an import if you don’t live in England; each month they enclose a couple of cover disc specifically for Win XP only.

I am very appreciative for all your support.

      The site is http://www.windowsxpmagazine.co.uk.

      Hello SMBP:

I think it is the most amazing and brilliant mag in print to date! I live in Canada, though I was born in England and over here in Canada it cost me $24.10; I did sign on to their forum, however, is was butt dragging slow. Did you get the small blue book with a 1000 tips? I don’t play games on my PC, because I use it for business, so I promised my brother that I will send them back to England for him.

He promised me that he would try to send me the mag from England, the exchange rate on the Pound really hurts ones back pocket but it is worth it, and I have learned so much; I am not a techie but the mag sure makes things appear less painful to understand.

Thanks for showing a copy on this forum; keep up the good work

      Take care,

      dillon

      Hello everyone:

Thank to all who replied, I have a P4, with 1.6MHz, with 512DDRM mem, and a 40Gb drive, would this machine hold up?

Plus I have a palm, and loads of people are having problems hotsycning, I have read that you must disable the firewall and Anti Virus; can you shed some light on this?

What would be the best tweaking software for XP?

Hello Ron. M; Stuart. R; and Hans:

Thank you so much for all your time and effort in helping me, I am typing this contract for a big wig Treasurer; I will play around with your suggestions and see what happens. I still have a WordPefect mentality; I am coming around though.

Out of the few forums that I belong to, I really enjoy this one, very straight to the point and not all consumed with adds.

      Again, Thanks

      Hello Hans:

I do not see; this type of bullet, hold on; hans I have checked in the Bulleted; Numbered; and outline numberd, including the list styles.

I could do this manually but I know there is something that will allow me to create on the automatic.

      Thanks Hans
