    • in reply to: suppress delete warning (access 2003) #903051

      Hi

Probably very simple but I can’t find it…

Hope anyone can help me out with this.

I Have a delete query that deletes a couple records out of my table
I am using a button to run the macro: Docmd open query etc.
and now I am looking for some code to suppress the confusing error warning that access displayes.
I have created my own message box and then I just want it to happen without the extra access warning

(I know all delete warning messages can be turned off in the general access options but that is not what I want).

      Thanks ahead.

      Hi Wendell,

Thanks, I found what you said about the added sortingorder in the properties of the form.
but how can I have access remove this (using some code or macro or so)

and The reason I have that requery is because this form is an overview form.
when a user adds a record he/she does that in an other form. that way in the overview form it doesn’t show the added record rightaway.
      but requery helps.

      Greetings

      Hi Hans,

I was a little to early with my reply yesterday.

I still have a question about the formula
I don’t completely understand what the ROW part does in the the formula
and something goes wrong when I paste the formula down
      see example.

how does that ROW command exactly work?
(I do not quite understand the Array thing in this situation)
      thanks

      Hi Hans,

the popup option could be a good solution.
But then one more question is how do I get access to close the form at lostfocus?
couse I have a couple forms that open in “normal” format

(this is actually what I couldn’t find in the first place so thats why I went searching for fixing the form size)

      Tnx,
