AskWoody LoungerWhat I have learned is the file with the chart was in use for about 6 months after being recreated for the same issue. Anyone who opens this file and edits the chart encounters the same issue: the Stack column chart switches to a line chart. Whatever causes this behavior, even if it was introduced by one user’s Excel, is stored with the file or wherever the chart info is stored.
This is the only file exhibiting the behavior and the original file was in use for 2 years prior to this behavior showing up at the beginning of the year. At that time the file was recreated and now has gone 6 months until acting up again.
I have suggested that prior to recreating the file, anyone accessing it run the Excel /o startup command but I’d rather have the department limit their once a month usage of the file to one machine and see if they can pinpoint how this scenario is being introduced to the file.

AskWoody LoungerThanks. I have been using the Word article and totally neglected to check for this.

AskWoody LoungerWe tried a new XP profile but found that all users on this machine had the issue so uninstalled office, deleted our C:OPTIONSMSOCACHEALL USER folder and reinstalled. Issue is resolved.

AskWoody LoungerNothing was done such as a form customization or is that your suggested solution?

AskWoody LoungerIt means any email sent to anyone is also sent to the person not intended.
There are no delegates, no rules but I am waiting for an update on running the clean server startup option.

AskWoody LoungerYes, to both posters, this is an exchange environment and I’ll check into the suggestions about command line startup and “hidden” delegates.
Thanks.

AskWoody LoungerI finally had a chance to actually open up NetMeeting and see that there is a check box to limit the acceptance of meeting participants to the host. Hello….. drop the oxygen mask out of my office ceiling, please!!
Once the client did this the issue was resolved.

AskWoody LoungerYes to all, but hide inactive icons only affects the system tray and not the Outlook new mail notificaiton popup that is not displaying.
Right now I have created a new rule to check all new messages and display a text box which is a useful workaround since it remains visible until cleared and will keep adding each new message but I’d like to pin down what happened.

AskWoody LoungerHere are the settings which are pretty much default for everyone. I can see no reason for this behavior.

AskWoody LoungerJune 27, 2008 at 7:12 pm in reply to: Pie Chart Stationary turns white or blank (OL 2003 SP2) #1114773Thanks.
It works OK for me as well. The strange thing is I made a screen shot of the stationary and sent it in an email using the stationary in question. Both the stationary and the screen shot displayed as white. when I sent the screen shot as a jpg attachment and the client opened up the attachment (probably in IE) the colors were present as normal.
I uninstalled Office 2003, deleted the All Users folder under MSOCache, reinstalled and issue remains.
I am beginning to think this is a user profile issue.

AskWoody LoungerThe forum is full of posts regarding failure to load the program after the current zip file is expanded and the application is started. Apparently there is much confusion over what is happening.
Thanks again,

AskWoody LoungerI now can get to the forums as well, but I have not had any problems with the steps you have taken as I can download and open the def file. It just doesn’t like the se Personal version that used to work with it.
I will see what the forums say and wait until the next def file is released.
Thanks,
Jester

AskWoody LoungerFound out it is more than Outlook so I am suspecting that there may be a printer preferences setting that needs to be changed for multiple apps.
More detective work in progress.

AskWoody LoungerChecked “Set Program Access and Defaults” under Add/Remove Programs where under “Custom”, “Choose a custom e-mail program” was set to Outlook Express.
