      Using XP (up to date).

      I don’t use Firefox. sorry

Also, I had previously found timeanddate.com, but it requires linking to a web site, which is what I wanted to avoid. So far, Symmtime seems to be doing the job. And when I tried to download KenBF’s link to Microsoft Time Zone, it failed–3 times. That failure is a puzzlement. I’ll have to check into it when I get some time.

Thanks. I’ll take a look at it. Right now I’m trying out DocWatson’s link to SymmTime. We’ll see how that works.

      Ken,

Thanks for the link. I’m a bit puzzled though since version 5.5 is dated March 2000, and version 6 is Feb. 2004. It seems that no one has done anything with version 6 after 5 years.

      >A short snooze during the day will boost your mood and your intelligence

Being retired, I “retire” a couple of times a day, but I’ve never noticed that my intelligence has changed. Of course, one of the negative things about retirement is that you never get a day off. yawn

If someone doesn’t want to dig around in the registry, Revo Uninstaller Freeware would probably do the job. It provides a system backup, and then after using the program’s uninstaller, in this case TI, it delves into the registry and highlights all related files, folders, and keys for further removal. A user has four options in the uninstall mode, plus a number of other I’ve used Revo a number of times and haven’t had a problem.

I’ve received two such warnings today. Interestingly, neither was from any banks I deal with. And I didn’t open them.

#15 was the one that stumped me. A wrong guess.

Revo Uninstaller is good at removing any trace of uninstalled programs. I used it to remove old Gamin GPS software and then ran the Registry Cleaner in JV16 power tools, which found no remnants.

I had the same card reader problem when I bought my Canon PowerShot A590 IS. I prefer to use a card reader so I bought Sandisk SDDR-99 ImageMate 5-in-1 Reader/Writer for about $20 (even less if you shop around). The card reader gives me more flexibility.
