AskWoody LoungerI tried that and just did it again, no joy. Are there registry setting that control this issue? If so where are they?
-
WSdeeppow
AskWoody LoungerYes, can surf using Firefox. At this point I’ve deleted the check to see if Firefox is my default browser and work from there. It is a pain but I kill Edge which boots and then navigate using Firefox.

AskWoody LoungerWhat does the default app window show as the default web browser?
Mark
Always shows Edge

AskWoody LoungerThere is a hijacker, it is called Windows 10. Reinstall didn’t help.
-
WSdeeppow
AskWoody LoungerIn search, type “default browser”. Click on Choose a default browser. Select Firefox.
That’s pretty much the standard process and it doesn’t work.

AskWoody LoungerI did go logon my MS account. No difference. Thanks for the suggestion.

AskWoody LoungerSecond method is what you get by default in setup. First is if you work through the control panel. I used both to no avail before the original post. Thanks anyway.

AskWoody LoungerDavid,
English is your 3rd language! Heck it is my only language and I still have problems understand it sometimes. If I left click on the Window icon (lower left) of taskbar, I see the image in your #12 post and after about 4 sec it disappears. My cursor is remaining on the icon and not being moved. If I right click on the Window icon, I see the image in your #11 post.
I want to keep the #12 image till I take the cursor off the icon.
I’ll work through your instructions and be back.
