I use a switchboard and in the startup, I remove the toolbars.

      What does dependency information mean??

      Hans,

I have looked and I don’t see any code that changes any objects. I do have code telling it to go to a new record, max the screen, assigning a value to a field…

How do I get around this? I had to modify a report this morning since 7:00am and I have been waiting on the users to get here so they can get out as well as waiting for networking to get here to boot them out! I am going to have to put a time out feature somewhere.

      Thanks….already started building it.

      I appreciate your assistance.

      Hans,

I am one step ahead of you…I have it mapped out on green bar paper.
I was using subforms and then had this grand idea about using the tab form control. I guess I need to go back to my original idea.

      Thanks for re-directing.

The actual contracts are scanned and the location is entered as a hyperlink so we can pull up the actual contract at anytime. I was more interested in design. I mainly use the switchboard and create data entry forms as well as form for printing reports. Trying to get out of my comfort zone and try something new. The VP likes the dashboard type displays (number of suites avaiable, total square footage available, on the spot contact numbers). Not sure how to design that….

I have created a form using tab controls to enter the information relating to the property itself…but I am having problems entering data. Once, I created the query of all the tables linked by property ID…I can not add a new record.

Any ideas about any of it!!

      Thanks,
      Deborah

I think I figured it out. The reason one database is working is because it is menu driven. Access run-time uses menus for the user to add records, print etc..they are not allowed to get to the database window. Apparently, she only has run-time loaded and not the full version.

If anybody has any other ideas, please let me know.

I checked Microsofts website and it stated something about having 97 still on the machine. She has one database that is working correctly so I do not understand why she is getting the error message. She opens the database from her network drive not through access.

      Any help would be appreciated.

Now, I am getting another message. Operation Invalid without a current undex.

      What do I do now?

Is there a way to import all objects at one time?

    • in reply to: Warning messages (2003) #1088706

      Hans,

It works great from my computer..I am running the full version. The users have run-time version and they are still getting the messages. Is there a way to turn them off for the run-time?

      Hans,

They are coming from a table and are linked by the primary key from the one table and the data is stored my many side.

    • in reply to: assigning a value (2003) #1085588

      Hans,
I have another form the allows the user to select a load from a drop-down and display the record on the screen. At that point, the user will then enter an date out and bill of lading number. Alot of the loads will go out on the same date with the same bill of lading. I’m having problems getting the auto-assign code to work on this form. Is this because of the drop-down and the displaying of the record?

      Thanks,
