      Thanks Hans….

There are so many little features in all the MS products. How does someone find the time to learn them all??
      It worked like a charm.

When you export as text, it exports as tab (or comma) delimited. Things will not naturally line up!

      Try this:

      Select the data
Press down the SHIFT key and click on EDIT.
CHoose the option copy as picture.

This will place an image on the clipboard that you can paste into another program.

It can not be an image…the list contains all the users that will have access to this imaging system.
I can create some code to import the list…if it is txt and lines up exactly…to import the names in this new system so I do not have to enter them one at a time.

Which option in the “Save As” dropdown list did you select when saving the worksheet as a text file?

I have tried all the options.

Just as a number…28 minutes is entered as 28.

      Tried this already….compacting that is!

Ok..do I have to do each object 1 at a time to the new database???

    • in reply to: Issues saving a new report (2003) #1123649

Thanks for the suggestions however it did not work.

Here is another twist…I did a file/save as…the name in the blue title bar did not change. I changed a text box and tried to close it. A dialog box appear asking me to save the “new name” but it will not let me. It will not exit.

Has networking done something with my rights???

I did this and it did not work. The charge amts are different so it makes each record still unique. I still get 2.

      Thanks for the suggestions…any more???

That is a good idea however it will not work here. He wants it to look like an invoice…so the totals need to be at the bottom. Can you put formulas in footers??

    • in reply to: Data Analysis Sampling (2003) #1115418

      THANKS….that works.

    • in reply to: Data Analysis Sampling (2003) #1115392

That is what I was griping about….LOL
I was not getting all the data that I wanted to extract out in a random sampling.

Thanks for your help. I appreciate your efford.

    • in reply to: Data Analysis Sampling (2003) #1115382

This is not working for me.
When I fill the formula, I get all sorts of data. Not the entire record for that person.
      =index($b$2:$u$20,RANDBETWEEN(1,20),RANDBETWEEN(1,3))
I am trying to figure this out before applying to my large worksheet. So I copied 20 records and I only want a random sampling of 3.
      What am I doing wrong?

I have done something similar and well..it is more work. I do not understand why it will not extract all the columns. I try to get the computer to work for me and me not work for it..but apparently I will have to build some coding or do my cutting and pasting routine for this option.

      Thanks

      Thanks for your help.
I really like the column about the visit – first, etc. This will be a big plus since all the records are not sorted by patient’s name.
