Also, this is why I am trying to put them all together.

I need to make sure there was an appropriate charge sent on that date of service.
It appears that for this CPT code, there was not charge but payment was applied – 12/11 and 12/14 dates.

Look at the dates for 12/25. There are 3 rows of data.

There is a charge of 249 – this contains all the data for that initial visit.
There is a Pmt of 156.20
There is an adjust of 92.80

Look at row 17. This is what I would like the final to appear as.

Attached is a sample excel file.
the first records are a prime example of my issue.

I would like to have one record with all the data filled in…instead of three separate ones. I tried the cross tab but it will not allow me to have a column for charge, payment and adjusted. this is noted in gray at the bottom of the sheet.

      Thanks for your help

I think a union query will work for me but I am not sure how to create it.

I have a table of patients name and id number. 1 record.
I have a table with patient name, type of test and score. So, a patient could have 3 records or more.

I want to create a table with patient name, test score 1, test score 2, etc…..one record for the patient.

    • Thanks ….

    • I agree with you 100%.

What I need is to have just one record for that date of service with a total payment field. I use Date of Service and patient ID# as primary fields.

A patient can have more than one date of service (that is a good thing). The accouting software gives me a report with every payment and I need just a total payments for that date of service.

I was able to get the document with formatting to appear at the end of the first document. I inserted new page break but since have been unsuccessful to get it to appear in the middle of the document with formatting in tack.

Boss will accept at the end just had to renumber the attachments.

      Thanks

I have tried the solution and it removes all my columns.

Here is a copy of the spreadsheet.

I have been playing around with the file since 7:30AM EST….I could have entered the information by now…

I have deleted fields, rows…etc. It bothers me that I can not find the problem.

The information is confidential. I can try and micky mouse some of the data and see if anyone gets the same problem.

Give me a few and I will attach a file.

    • in reply to: Extracting Year with Parameter query #1155598

In your query, I would create a field called year….year:right([nameofdatefield],2) to pull out the 2 digit year.
Then prompt the user to enter the year…[Enter 2 digit year] in the criteria field.

      HTH….

I have had Access to bomb out in the past however it would bring in some data and then give me a table with the errors such as the data types change. I am getting nothing except a dialog box telling me that the file did not import.

I am creating a new table.
I have checked the data and even re-formatted the columns.
I have removed a few columns.

      It is real puzzling…

    • in reply to: Error when Importing – Access 2003 #1155589

There is one thing I noticed, when I link all the fields do not come it. I am not sure why…this might be the reason that the import is not working.
The 2 columns contain dollar amounts that were exported from another database to excel then the spreadsheet was modified and now they want it back into the database. I know…confusing but this person likes excel better and well….it works.

      Hans,
I have checked the data. It looks good and headings are appropriate. I can link it and it works.
There are a few cells without data…could this be an issue?
