It’s a header for a one-off newsletter for a summer program within the company. I’m beginning to think it’s not worth all the time I’ve already spent looking for an answer, though many of the options I’ve been given are good. However, I just need one letter, and most of these options other than the Paint one, are for an entire word.

I tried that with little success. I can’t seem to get it to match font size. Oh well, I’ll keep trying.

So the Portugese characters can be inserted into text in Excel. It’s fine for Word, but the add-in doesn’t cover Excel or Live Communicator

I’m not quite sure what you mean. Can you explain a bit more? Replace an equal sign with an equal sign – or equal sign space?

Already checked that, it wasn’t checked in 2007. We even tried checking and unchecking. Didn’t work

I have had this issue not with dates, but with currency. I found the instructions in Microsoft’s Knowledge Base article 320473 to be extremely helpful to get it all to work properly. I’ve attached a PDF file of the article Give it a try.

I’m having the same issue – the Watermark shows up fine on the Print Preview, but prints alternating letters for the pages. I’ll see if the print driver needs to be updated and will come back to the post to let you know what happens.

I’ll ask the easy question about the reminders – is your CPU calendar set for the correct date and time zone? I had that issue on an older machine where the date/time was way off.

As for the duplicate emails, you might want to check your ISP/network administrator to see if there is a large file in there somewhere which is messing with the settings. I’ve also had that issue – an email with a large attachment wouldn’t go through, so it kept sending the smaller emails trying to clear itself out to send the bigger one. (I’m obviously not a technician so my explanations may make no ‘techincal’ sense.)

Sounds like they overwrote the normal.dot. If Word is the email editor, it will show up in Outlook as well.

To change it back – find the existing one on her machine, clear out the text and resave as normal.dot. That should fix it.
