Even though there is a C:Program[space]Files directory, when I paste this into the run line I get an error that says “Windows cannot find C:Program”

      Hi Joe,

There is no link to the disclaimer, it shows up when you try to do an install for Office 365-2016 (home version).

As I said at the beginning, Exchange is working just fine on my main PC (running the full version of Outlook 2007 as part of the Office Ultimate suite), and also on my iPhone, so I do not think this is an Exchange problem.

Furthermore, I cannot connect with this Ultrabook at a number of locations (work, home, hotel, etc..) so I do not think it’s a network firewall issue. I have also tried turning off the internal firewall (Norton 360) to no avail.

I tried the link to the page you suggested. The auto fix link sends me to the sign-in page for office school or work versions. I have the Home version, so I cannot login with that link. Looking at the manual options, all my windows updates are current, and trying to run the profile repair from the Mail link on the Control Panel page just results in the same problems I reported at the beginning.

I tried to follow the instructions but there is no .exe file in the Clicktorun directory. Also, I’m using Office 365 Home version, not pro.

      Thanks Jim,

The only update around that time was KB3035583 – the Windows 10 nagging update! I have removed that but it did not solve the problem.

      That did the trick!

      Many thanks.

OK. So I set the MaintainServerList to “Yes” on the desktop (it was “Auto”) and now it sees everything as before. I’m not at home so i can’t see if the Laptop now sees everything as well.

Thanks to pcunite and TintoTech for the advice.

Sadly none of these suggestions worked. What I should have also mentioned above – the laptop I connect by WiFi is also a Vista machine. It exhibits the same problems. The two vista machines see each other but nothing else on the network. As with the desktop, I can see the other devices by entering the UNC, but the map only shows the two vista machines.

    • Got it – This works.

      Many thanks.

    • Thanks Steve, but if I understand it, the INDIRECT function only references a cell on the active sheet. I need to be able to reference across different sheets. Instead of the string from the tab name (i.e. SAP04222012) I need a VARIABLE that can be referenced in other formulas and that will change when the tab name is changed.

In other words Dim SAP_TAB as string
      SAP_TAB = MID(CELL(“filename”,A1),FIND(“]”,CELL(“filename”,A1))+1,256)

and then in formulas ON OTHER SHEETS, =UPPER(VLOOKUP(C129,SAP_TAB!$A$3:$E$4778,2,0))

so that when I change the tab name of the SAP sheet, say to SAP05012012, every formula throughout the workbook that references that sheet for price data will not error when it can’t find the old sheet that has been replaced.

Found this with the Lounge Advanced Search.

That’s the one – I just found it myself. Found the stuck receipt and blew it away.

      Thanks

    • in reply to: Sending a Non-Existent Message and Crashing #1208796

I had this problem once before, and I have it again now (without the crashing).

I found the answer here (I think) that it was to do with deleting (permanently) messages that had read receipts attached that had not been sent. If I remember rightly there was registry fix needed (nasty!) but it did the job. Wish I could find the original post as I need to do it again. I just cleared out my deleted items folder and one of the messages had a read receipt attached.

Thanks for the prompt response Hans

I had the same problem – 2 messages were always being sent when I started up. Whent through the “Stuck read receipts” process and all is well.

      Thanks for the hint.

      Answering my own post here.

It’s a case of mapping the fields – even though there’s identical fields called email1, email 2 etc, they don’t automatically map on import – how dumb!!

Once I set up the mapping all is well – boy am I relieved!

      Hans

Fast saves are off, versions is off, track changes off (also tried “accept all changes” anyway just to be certain).

The thing is, even with EVERYTHING deleted – just a single blank page – it’s stilll 13MB. There must be something in the file that’s not visible under normal editing.
