A little late to the party but I wanted to comment that I took the MOS exams last August, and they no longer require you to exclusively use menus to accomplish the requested task. They are now outcome based, so as long as you get to the correct finish line, whichever method you used to get there doesn’t count against you. I thought that was a vast improvement!

The hotel guest was very pleased with the additional amenity of a breakfast buffet. “It’s served anytime up until noon,” said the manager.

There’s a somewhat manual way of doing this, not sure if it’s helpful to you or not.

Go to any website and add it to your favorites. Name it “Last Updated” or something similar.
Click on your favorites list, find the recently added favorite. Right-click it and select Properties.
Change the URL to the following:

      java script:alert(document.lastModified)

If you visit a page, then click on this favorite link, you should get a pop-up indicating when a page was last updated.

Thanks and thanks again. Copying from Excel and pasting as a metafile worked like a charm.

    • in reply to: Cell formatting (v2000) #844528

My sample box does not change either. Perhaps it’s asking too much of Excel to display it the “customized” way you want it?
Regardless, what DOES happen to the cells? Anything?
Is there data in the cell before you apply the format?
When you format the cells, if you type in new data, what happens to the data? How is it formatted?

eta: Are your numbers longer than the designation you gave? For example, if you enter 123456789 in a cell that you’ve formatted as above, it will not be formatted in the way you desire. You need to insert enough pound signs to accomodate the longest potential data length.

      Select cells to be formatted.
From the Format menu, select Cells.
On the Number tab, in the Category field, select Custom.
Click in the Type field and enter your format as follows:
      ‘#####’,
      Click OK.

I prefer Yahoo’s suite of games to all others that I’ve tried. The speed of card presentation, however, depends completely upon the users.

ETA – Yahoo games are online…..the things I sometimes forget to mention!

You can check which updates have been released here. From a quick scan I just did, it looks like you’re missing one update (835732, released in April). One of the updates you list was released in February (832894).

As for repeated installs of the same update, can you try disabling automatic update, rebooting, and then re-enabling the service?
