      & “” = “”

That is the only part I really did not understand.. I was playing around with a if-then statment this weekend but I was messing up the first dlookup line.

also what is the differance between the “on load” and “on open” I was trying it in the “on load”

Then you can reference that in a table.

I am still a little lost.

    • in reply to: upgrade to Office 2010 #1233880

Here’s the response when I asked one of the “high end” vendors if their copy of Microsoft Office Professional 2007 would qualify for an upgrade.

Thank you for checking with us.
MS is being tricky with this free upgrade. It is not only when you purchase product but when the product was manufactured. As no one will actually know if their product qualifies until they register with Microsoft we cannot guarantee our product (or any product) will work!

Which high end vendor was this….The only reason they would be talking about Mfg dates is that little legal issue but all copied of office 2007 were pulled from the shelves and replaced so this should no be an issue.

Nothing will prevent you pressing the PrintScreen button and pasting / printing.

      cheers, Paul

True nothing can pervent you from pressing the button but you can disable the cmmand which comes from the button.

Times are just stored as numbers, so you can do arithmetic with them. (things get more complicated if you have times exceeding 24 hrs)

Things just got more complicated as I have times exceeding the 24 Hr mark…. They are just showing a time because the date changed…. How can I get it to show

It depends on the suite you have. for example

      2007 Office Home & Student

      2. INSTALLATION AND USE RIGHTS. Before you use the software under a license, you must assign that license to a device. That device is a “licensed device.” A hardware partition or blade is considered to be a separate device.
      a. Licensed Device. You may install one copy of the software on three licensed devices in your household for use by people who reside there.
      2007 Office Pro

      2. INSTALLATION AND USE RIGHTS. Before you use the software under a license, you must assign that license to one device. That device is the “licensed device.” A hardware partition or blade is considered to be a separate device.
      a. Licensed Device. You may install and use one copy of the software on the licensed device.
      b. Portable Device. You may install another copy on a portable device for use by the single primary user of the licensed device.

    • in reply to: Office 2007 – can't install on Windows 7 64 bit? #1232847

When you DL the file from DR. Did they give you the ability to pick if you wanted the 32 or 64 bit versions. The DL purchase from either DR or Microsoft Store is one or the other.. Both 32 and 64 are not in the same DL.

    • in reply to: Office 2007 online sellers #1232846

I hope this might be of some use to you all.

      http://www.microsoft.com/student/office/en-us/default.aspx

This is for Office Pro Academic 2010 for $79.95 USD

      But there is one drawback

You must have a valid e-mail address at an educational institution ending with the domain suffix .EDU (i.e., leina@contoso.edu) OR have a valid email address at one of the educational institutions listed

This is run by a company called Digital River. If you have ever gone to office.microsoft.com they control that as well for Microsoft. DR is a 3rd party retailer for Microsoft.

Microsoft Store has the same Student Discounts for Office but this ended when 2010 was released.

      John,

Times are just stored as numbers, so you can do arithmetic with them. (things get more complicated if you have times exceeding 24 hrs)

From you description, you have this the wrong way around.

Thanks I noticed that just as I read your message….

as for the result….. I have tried that formula (the right one ) and the result is not right here is what I have….

      [Signed on] 16:47:11
      [personal] 00:11:24

When I do this is excel to check my work 1.13% the correct answer as per other reports I am working from
when I do this is access

=[Personal]/[Signed On] formatted as percent answer I get back as 2.29%

    • in reply to: Pivot Table #1228444

If your pivot table is based on a query, just enter the word descending in the sort box of your percent field.

There is no percent field. This is created in the pivot table.

    • in reply to: Query made with Unmatched Query Wizard #1227520

Here is a version that works. query2.

Is there a reason that the master data table uses the email address to identify the agent?

This is the way the information is tracked in other systems and as you can see from the query that the information is sometimes wrong comming in.

    • in reply to: Microsoft Security Essentials Problem?? #1227149

Security Essentials is just echoing a Windows Update error code. There’s an Online Help article that explains this in “Top support topics” (Error “0x8*******” encountered while virus and spyware definition updates or product upgrades).

If Step 2 in this procedure doesn’t yield any results, you can refer to this Knowledge Base article (for Windows XP):
