      Thanks for the replies.
I do a image of C driver every night but I sometimes like to change fonts, background colors and drive icons. It would be easier to restore or replace a file that contains these than have to save a image, and then restore the whole image every time.
It’s no big deal but would make life nice.
      Thanks again

    • in reply to: Task Scheduler unable to create file #1208099

I found the answer. I had set the target folder to be shared. What I had NOT done was to set the permissions to “allow anyone” access.
      It now works.

The failing task is different in that it will not run. The size of this task is about 15 gig and the other tasks are as large, or larger (up to 30 gig each).
To set up the task I click on “create a task” in Task Scheduler. I name it and set the schedule. In the Action tab, I “start a program” and add arguments.
How I get the arguments is to get a batch file from starting Image for Windows and go thru all the steps up till the last item (which is to run). This last step has a button to “show command” which I save as a batch file. I then copy and paste this in the “add arguments” in Task Scheduler.
I have 7 other tasks on my 2 PC’s that have been done this way and they all work.

I agree with you Stephane. This is way I think I now have a doorstop.

      Stephane, Thanks for the reply.
When I push the power button, I get the HD light flashing and hear the HD spining up. The light only last for about 10 seconds and the sound about 3 seconds. Then the only light that remains on is the power button.
I do not have to enter a user-id.
The autorun CD sounds like a great idea. Is there a site that will give me step by step to burn one? I guess that another question is how do I tell if the black screen is a BIOS or video driver problem?
      Thanks
