I tried the suggestions on the Publisher problem and still can’t get it to work. Any other ideas? Is it a user profile issue?

    • in reply to: Excel Mail Merge (Excel 2000) #804235

I want the formula to make choices based on the information in a cell (positive vs negative number) and merge information from the choice. For example, when doing the mail merge, can a formula be created to look at a cell and if the number is “86” it goes to another worksheet and gets address information to merge into the address block. If the number in the cell is negative, it goes to another cell to look at a number which references information in a third worksheet. The information referenced in the third worksheet is then merged into the address block in the Word document.
Have I confused you yet? Don’t mean to do that—just a problem posed to me by staff member.

I didn’t save the code. Just duplicated the recording of the macro in Word 2000 after we upgraded from 97.

The fonts look the same and changing the margins doesn’t help either. I haven’t determined if it’s every web site or just select ones. The page looks good in print preview but doesn’t print the way it looks. Carol

We are talking a LAN and this isn’t the only time this has happened to a variety of documents and people. Is the print spooler service something that handles all print jobs for all network printers?

Doesn’t seem to make a difference…Using an HP 4500. Only does this in the first cell that is shaded and not the rest. ????

      Happens in Excel too!

Below and attached are messages I got yesterday on the computer.

1st message – Window pops up and states: Word has insufficient memory. Do you want to save Doc.1 as Rescued Doc? (the option is yes or no. Clicked yes. Immediately the following message popped up.

2nd message – This was a white window: WinWord
% caused a stack fault in module %2 at %3!.04x!:%4!.08x!

Close was the only option, so I did.

      3rd message – a runtime error
      Program C: programsfilesAT&Twnclientprogramswnconnect.exe
      abnormal program termination

Do any of these make sense? Carol
