Thanks Chuck. That worked but made the file static. Therefore if the Visio file was updated, the ord file will not see the changes. The EU will just have to keep embedding the file instead of linking it.

I don’t know if this will help, but I have been getting errors in IE when I launche. It is trying to load NTDLL.DLL. I have had several errors where WINSHOW.DLL was the culprit. So I again searched for WINSHOW.DLL in the registry and deleted it. Now my IE is working fine.

      Thanks

      Thanks for the info.

So if I open the ports for VNC, and the VNC client is running on the Remote end, it will know where it is even thought it is running a local IP?

Lets say: the Router IP is 206.124.88.67
And the DHCP has given the Remote pc this IP: 192.168.1.5

the VNCVIEWER will be able to remote into the Router and then find the computer running the local IP and connect?

      Thanks

That works great on a LAN. But what about across the DSL/Cable connections. My problem is that I have to be able to connect to the other pc which is behind a built-in firewall of a DSL router. Where do you designate which ports to open etc. As I understand it, you have to open a port throught the DSL/Cable Routers so that it can accept a VNC or DameWare or PCAnywhere remote connection.

      Thanks

I went through the excercise of looking in the XLSTART folder. I found this macro called ZQIMENU.

Subsequently, I looked it up and found this link: http://www.qimacros.com/techsupport.html%5B/url%5D

      Extra Blank Worksheet Appears

The QI Macros always open a blank worksheet (to mimic Excel at start up). If you double click on a file to start Excel, the information about your file isn’t available until after the QI Macros have loaded. So the software cannot check for the existence of an open document to prevent opening a blank sheet. If this really bugs you:

      1. Close Excel
      2. Find zqimenu.xlm, right click on the file, select properties, and uncheck the READONLY box.
      3. Open Excel and click on Window-Unhide and select zqimenu.xlm
      4. In Column A, about line 16 you will find an IF statement that checks for Book1 before it opens a NEW workbook.
      5. Clear this cell
      6. Select Window-Hide to hide the macro
      7. Exit Excel and save the zqimenu.xlm file over the existing one in the XLSTART folder.
      8. When you start Excel again, it will not open a blank workbook.
