The infomation in need is in A1 and in A2. The Last name and first name and other info imported into row A. The rest of the info I need like DOB and Address imported into row B. The import did this all the way down to 8000. It also left every 3rd row empty. I have attacked a file.

Thanks for getting back to me. What I’m trying to do is with in a query try to find a way for access to tell us how many employees are working for each employer. I set the criteria for lets say John It will give me all the employees for John but I still have to count them by hand. We would like it so if you typed in the employer is would tell you how many employees they have working under them.

Yes the DOS prompt says c:windows. This is all I get when I turn it on so I don’t know which windows it ran before I got it.

The operating system is a windows Me. What happens is that when I turn on the computer the pop up to connect comes up. Just as if I clicked on the internet Explorer to search the net or my microsoft outlook to check my email. When I turn on the computer I might want to just work with my office programs and not want to connect to the internet at all. So I always have to click on the work offline.
