    • in reply to: XP/98 Dual Boot (SP1) #639450

Tnx Camphill for asking my question for me and tnx everyone for once again answering my question without me even asking. love this lounge.

But please clarify for your resident red head. It appears that I can install XP to partition drive D: without reformating the partition drive C: Then once I know I can get to my inventory and data still on C: I could remove 98SE from C: without removing my data files. And continue to boot from XP on D: And use C: as a backup as I now use D: I think what I am questioning is do the “drives” have to be physically seperate HDs or can I format and install on a partition drive without doing a reformat on both partitions.

Woops that doesn’t take into consideration the other PROGRAM files which would still be on C: Do I really have to reinstall everything?

OK so what I should do is take it to a tech. But I really would like to learn more of this for myself.

GL it took me three years to find a copy of DigDug for a friend of mine. I finally found it at http://www.tripletsrus.com[/url%5D don’t know anything about the one you are looking for but if it is an 80’s game you might try them.

Edited because I was asleep when I posted and didn’t check dates.

    • in reply to: Scanner vs Camera #635231

      Tnx to both of you.

Jscher2000 says the “head on shot” of a scanner may be a problem and Leif says the perspective angle of a camera may be a problem. Just love it.

Will probably end up with both but am leaning toward a scanner to begin especially as I found a reference to one that does 3D items. Tnx for the links I felt like I was drowning in advertising and needed a place to start. These help.

    • in reply to: Appointment created by delegate not showing up #633572

I don’t really have an answer for you but I would bet it is a wetware problem. First the secretary may have been tardy posting and is coving by saying it was posted earlier. Is there a way you can check the time new appointments are added? Second the user hasn’t refreshed or uploaded or some other improper access method on the users part.

But the real reason I had to respond was your subject heading. I once became the delegate appointed by not showing up. Never skip union meetings!!!

If you want to have fun while you are doing it try PopCap’s Word Shark

I don’t know how to load directly to the game. It is in the left column under the September 20 heading. Don’t get mixed up with World Stalk.

    • in reply to: Automate EndItAll #630727

I want EndItAll to close everything so that the computer can do a scan and defrag in the middle of the night while I am peacefully sleeping. But there are programs that EndIt has to ask about so I guess I will just have to remember to run it before I leave. At my age I can use all the automated memory helps I can find.

Willow, tinker with your firewall and popup settings. I am using mail.com and finally got a balance set so that I usually only get one or two popus. I use ZA, NoAdds and Pest Patrol. I’d hate to have to change addresses but the popups were driving me crazy. When I had it set at none it wuldn’t load. I’m not sure what the final arrangement was but I think I had to take it out of NoAdds and rely on ZA medium security with no third party cookies. GL

    • in reply to: A chocolate thing with no chocolate? #628084

I think the almond bark is probably your best bet. You might even be able to just switch lb for lb.

Personally I’d make Divinity or Penoche (or both) for the non chocolate goody.

    • in reply to: robot.exe #624966

Tnx! PacMans Portal is a great site, have to add it to my tools list. Using some hints from there I think I have traced robot.exe down. Seems to be a left over file from an old Omega Jazz drive backup system that was on my old computer it just sort of hitch hiked itself over when the other start up things were transferred. I wonder what other orphans I have floating around in the new system. Time will tell.

Yeah I could do a Google too but I always hope someone here will have dealt with the particular problem and I won’t have to reinvent the wheel and it usually works.

I’d be really careful about those fish and chip places if I were you. What kind of cooking oil can be used to replace diesel in an automobile? Frying Squad
