A while back I asked about using multiple time zones. I’ve been using OL with multiple zones setup as you suggested. I now notice that while I’m in my new work time zone all the birthdays cross two days on the calendar view. I vaguely understand why, they being setup in the other time zone. My question is, is there a better way? Is there a way to see them on the correct day only no matter what time zone I’m currently in?

Yes there is. Microsoft provides a tool called Bootvis. It does just what you are looking for. Check out this PC Mag article with a link to MS.

    • in reply to: Why does WordXP constantly crash? (XP SP2) #655867

Phil: Actually it DOES happen with many documents. You helped me with the last one which had the wrapped graphic in the header. I’ve since found that graphcis work in the header only if there is no other text in the table. Anyway, it happens for different reasons, often, and sometimes doing the doc copy to fresh one works. I’m still tired and frustrated and just want to get some work done instead of messing with this all the time.

Sure is frustrating. Phil had pointed me to those things to try. I did and it didn’t help. However, I’ve copied the document body to a fresh document again and it seems to be working. I’m 10 minutes without it hanging anyway.

      Tired,

Sure still happens. I’m going to try the copy the document to a new one trick for this particular document. Hopefully it’s the document. If so…. Yep looks like it… Why is this happening so much!!! I want a simple word processor that doesn’t break so often and I can get my work done .

Tried that to no avail. Also tried everything else in this thread. I’m learning new things, but getting more tired of computers by the minute!

Now I have , but when I try out the various ideas I still don’t see any signatures to add to the file. I checked my OXP installation and it includes the digital sig part, but my sig list when I try to add, is empty. Do you know how I find the MS sig that I can use?

Well, I’ve gotten MOST of my home page back. It’s blank in the center section. No announcements show up. All the links on the nav bar work though.

I created a subweb and copied the data from it’s home page to the home page but no change. I also tried going in through “Site Settings” to change the home page layout. Dragged one of my lists to the center and when I click Save it comes back saying I can’t save…

      “Unable to change homepage layout
An error occurred while trying to save the changes to the homepage. Please try again.
If this problem persists, please contact your administrator. ”

      Any ideas?

    • in reply to: Checkbox in doc/table (XP) #653313

It works in XP if put in the templates directory specified in Tools/Options but not if in the generic Microsoft OfficeTemplates one. Even though this works, I want a better way. Isn’t there supposed to be a way to use the MS signature on your own projects? I can’t find anything in help, the MSKB or on the CD about it.

      Thanks again Phil:

Now… I’ve copied the macro and autotext from contemporaryfax.dot to my template. When one creates a document from my template and the macro security is set to high, it won’t do the checkbox. What I notice is that the signing that MS does for the macro gets lost in the copy. Is there a way to copy a signed macro and keep it signed? I also tried pasting my template into the fax template and that works, but it’s not the cleanest solution. Is there a way? I’m sure there is and you know the answer! cool

Thanks Andrew. Is there a way to make just my table ,or part of the page the form? I don’t want the whole document to act like a form.
