AskWoody LoungerHi Mark,
I’m using a search form for this. Did what you suggested and the data is what it is supposed to be; frm_invoices is not getting filled in.

AskWoody LoungerHi Wendell, Thanks for the reply. Here is the code of the onClick event after I fill the combo box.
Private Sub cmd_FindByTrafficInvoice_Click()
On Error GoTo Err_cmd_FindByTrafficInvoice_ClickDim stDocName As String
Dim stlinkcriteria As StringstDocName = “frm_Invoices”
stlinkcriteria = “[InvoiceID]=” & Me![Traffic-InvoiceID]
DoCmd.OpenForm stDocName, , , stlinkcriteriaExit_cmd_FindByTrafficInvoice_Click:
Exit SubErr_cmd_FindByTrafficInvoice_Click:
MsgBox Err.Description
Resume Exit_cmd_FindByTrafficInvoice_ClickEnd Sub
Me!Traffic-InvoiceID is the combobox. This is a pretty straight forward approach that I have used many times.

AskWoody LoungerThat did it, Hans. Thanks a bunch.

AskWoody LoungerUnfortunately, this did not work. The label and the text box are somehow connected and I can’t figure out how to disconnect them.

AskWoody LoungerHello again,
I think I may have stumbled onto a resolution for this. Instead of using tables as my input recordsets, I made queries and used them. Seems to have solved this problem.

AskWoody LoungerIf you have a parent and a child table there is no need for a junction table. A junction table typically joins 2 parent tables, e.g., a book table and an author table. The junction table would have, at a minimum, the primary keys from the two main tables as foreign keys, thus forming two one-to-many relationships.
In your case you could set up your primary table as is with PK1 as the primary key and then set up an athlete table with the athlete’s names, etc. with PK2 as the primary key. The junction table would include PK1 and PK2 as foreign keys plus any other information you need. Then create a one-to-many relationship between the Primary Table and the junction table and a one-to-many relationship between the Athlete table and the junction table thus creating a many-to-many relationship. HTH.
