The .dbt files are tables that contain notes, aka, memo fields in Access. The only way I was able to see what was in them was to convert them to a text file. This allowed me to view the contents of the notes, however, the matching ID field for the .dbf was garbled and not readable. Therefore, I can’t match the notes with the main. Was hoping someone knew about the format of the .dbt file and how to interpret the ID.

James: http://www.lostpassword.com provides a solution ($45.00 US). Or attach the db to an e-mail and send it to me and I’ll de-code it for nothing.

John & Wendell: Thanks. I knew it was somewhere. Have a good week.

Not really sure what you are asking. I didn’t have to import any of your tables. All tables opened fine just as you sent them in the attachment.

Hello: I was able to open the database and all the tables. I couldn’t read any of the information because I don’t read Arabic.

Giorgio: Not to my knowledge, but then, my knowledge is limited. I tried all the combinations I could think of and changing the data type was the only one that worked.

Changing the data type to number will allow you to enter the year.

While I was waiting for a response, I created one of my own thru 2020. If anyone needs one, I now have one.

Tom: Try these on for size:

1st day of Previous month: =dateserial(year(date()),month(date()),-1,1)

Last day of Previous month: =dateserial(year(date()),month(date()),0)

      HTH.

      Kristen:
You might want to try using another field as the search key, eg, ssn, employeid, memberno, etc. Need something unique. HTH.

    • in reply to: Printer Settings (Access 2000) #573041

Judy & Charlotte: Thank you for your responses. Did what both of you suggested. The problem still exists. What is strange is that on the culprit machine, the page settings are what I want them to be, but the report does not seem to care. I’ll stay after it and keep you informed. Thanks again.

    • in reply to: Linked Access tables (Office 97 SR2) #567465

Stephen: The Linked Table Manager will give you the paths that currently exist. In Access 2000, it’s found under Tools, Database Utilities; in Access 97, it may be in the same place or it may be an add in. Regardless, this is where you can inspect the links. HTH.

    • in reply to: Relationship headaches w/multiple-field PK (97/SR-2) #566687

      Stephan: A couple of notes.
      (1) I was able to duplicate your problem.
      (2) When you set a relationship between two primary keys, you will get a one-to-one relationship.
      (3) When you try to set a relationship between 3 keys and two key, you will be asked to enter a third key on the right.
      (4) Return to db design mode and try using a single key for each of the tables. Remember, if you want a one-to-many relationship, a primary key of the main table has to be a foreign key in the secondary table. HTH.

If you are using Access 2000, you might look into creating a Data Access Page.
