AskWoody LoungerI went to Data | Get external data | NewWebQuery, hit the browse button and go a Message
“To use this feature, you must have a World Wide Web Browser such as Microsoft Internet Explorer” !!Wonder what I have broken now?

This has done the trick and I can get on with the next bit of the puzzle now
on quick check though, I take it that I no longer need the
Set WordApp = Nothing ‘ clear the reference.

AskWoody LoungerIt looks like Shane probably had the right idea in using theTag Property to let you check for info abut the control, then decide if to leave locked or unlocked!

AskWoody LoungerI have the same problem with Paste Special as I did with the normal paste method in code.
Excel ignores regional setting when you paste in code so that Currency -

AskWoody Loungeron an old dot matrix printer I used to get around it by setting a custom page wider than the real page which let me print to the edge. not sure what would happen to your page lengths if you tried it though

AskWoody Loungernot sure how to do it properly so I used reverse logic
Formated the cell to a white font and used Conditional formating to turn if black if greater than -1!!Of course you would have to pick a number out side of the possible range for you data
Not sure how to send the sheet back to the forum though
