Thanks for responding Mary. Cost isn’t an issue for us either. However, none of us use Outlook. I asked to order the trial copy and was told by the powers that be in the Purchasing Dept that “they” have decided NOT to get a demo, or to allow me to. Soooo – the posting in this Lounge for opinions. The users here will almostly exclusively use Word, Excel and Access.

This is very close to what I need – what I really really want is for the pivot table to only show the name of the person who used the most radio minutes without unselecting all of the other names. Any other suggestions?

Thank you sooooooo much – I’ll try it. In the meantime, I advised the person who wanted my advice to select those cells she didn’t want anyone to be able to change and had her apply a data validation to them whereby she specified an allowable entry to be something no one would ever want to enter with a warning not to type in that cell.

Thank you – after much deliberation, I occurred to me that the problem I was having was trying to get a digital photo from a file into a slide where you double click to insert a clip art. Now i’m good – thanks again.

I think it’s a case of both of us missing something.

Here goes:

I turn on the AutoCaption feature in Word so that, as I insert these photographs, each will be identified with a number, etc. What I am hoping Word can do for me is allow me to tell it to substitute a numbering system with the current date field.

What do you think?

I know about the date field – thanks. What I want to do is somehow insert the current date field so it will become the AutoCaption. What am I missing?
