What tormenting me most is most other file extensions such as PDF work successfully.

    • in reply to: How to Suppress Warning Pop-up Warning #1208280

Actually the more appropriate URL is http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925757.

At least in either case, the DisableHyperlinkWarning subkey won’t work. That’s what I meant.

When reading further, the alternative solution includes:
Method 1: Turn off the “Confirm open after download” option for the file type that you are trying to open
In Win 7 X64, simply there’s no such things as “Folder Options” and “Confirm open after download”.

      Hi John,
I did insert DisableHyperlinkWarning in HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice12.0Common[/b].
Do I have to insert DisableHyperlinkWarning in HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftOffice11.0Common[/b] as well?
I only have Office 2007 on my Win7 X64 Ultimate.

      Hi Leif,
      Thanks for your help.
Your solution is only applicable to non .EXE files.
      What if .exe executable files?

Would you buy a workstation for software development and Office applications (Project, Visio, Excel, Access, etc.)?

Can both Access 2003 and 2007 co-exist on the same PC?

Unlike Word, where multiple documents can be opened within a single instance of Word, each instance of Access can only open one database. So to open a second database you need a second instance of Access.
      Why? I don’t know…

      Hi John,
Thanks for your reply. Perhaps you miss my question. My question: Whenever doubling clicking a URL linking to an Access database, it will generate 2 instances of Access windows—itself and the linked database. Why?
Of course, it should open the linked Access database. But why does it open once again itself?
I discover it only occurs if a form is set in the Display Form in Access Options in Access 2007.
When Display Form is set none, it only creates the instance of the linked Access database.

      Hi HansV,
As a matter of fact, I’ve studied the URL referred by you for months.
Nonetheless, I still give a shot because HansV could never be wrong.
The solution offered by Microsoft is, in fact, misleading and confusing.
It never mentioned the WMVFile was merely an example.
      Instead, I tried out HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTexefile.
      Finally, it works.
      Thanks.

Does OfficeOne: How to disable hyperlink warning messages in Office 2003 and Office 2007 help?

Of course, I have already studied in vain this link repeatedly referred by Google.
It is still unable to disable the annoying warning.
      Thanks for your help.

    • in reply to: Tabs dialog window #1182729

Whether you get the page setup dialog box or the tabs dialog box does NOT depend on whether the insertion cursor is inside a table cell, just on how near the right margin you double click. It is also possible to get the paragraph setup dialog box by clicking near the left margin.

      Hi Stuart,
Yes, I just tried out everything you said with total success.
Yes, double-clicking various locations on the rule pop up different dialog boxes.
      Thanks a lot.

I just tested this inside a table cell and it worked fine.

      Hi Stuart,
Thanks for taking time to verify my post. When the insertion cursor (focus) is placed inside a table cell, double-clicking the ruler will pop up the Page Setup dialog box, which doesn’t contain any tab stop setting functionality. That was what I meant.

The quickest way to display the tabs dialog, if you don’t want to customize your keyboard, is to click the View Ruler button, just above the Vertical Scrollbar, and then to double click the ruler at the place where you want the tab.

      Hi Stuart,
Thanks for your solution. In some cases such as inside a table cell, it won’t work.
