      well I can talk on that shortly but for now if you might clue me in on this. When I create the join properties between my tblMonths & query in the reports recordsource, the recordset created is a little more than DOUBLE what was in the query originally. I

      thanks Thomas I checked out your dbase & followed what you meant but still have a problem, let me explain why.

      Thank you very much, the combo box on my main form was bound & when I made it unbound I was able to add records to it successfully. Currently my combo box is linking to one field in the subform. Is it possible for the combo box to on the main form to auto populate NEW records that are added into the subform? I ask this b/c the comboBox only contains an anthologyTitle which is also in the subform as Ttitle, but there

      I did the following code in the click event of my search button, let me know if this is ok as it is essentially giving me the result I want.

      yes this is true Charlotte, i can drop a subform object onto my form, but i cannot edit it in any way or even see its property sheet for that matter. that’s when i got the message something like this feature is not installed or something i forget exactly what.
