Komodia is the root cause of the problem…

      No Joe.
When looking for it just found Office Diagnostics which I rang now. 6 packages run. 1 error found and repaired although was not told what the error was?

I am guessing Control Panel; Add & Remove Programmes; Office 2007; repair or change? If not how do i repair it please?

      Thanks for the help.
      David

Ah good question Joe and one I should have thought to answer before you asked it!

No it’s a personal computer, so no system admin autoarchive policies have been set?

Further to the great post from sb06794

Register your own domain name, which is cheaper than you probably think, then you can create a unique email address for anything you sign up to; this facilitates tracking who has been hacked and who has sold on your email details… then if (and when) this happens you can direct those spam targeted email addresses straight to the bin. + you never have to advise anyone of a new email address, if you change ISP etc, as the email is setup to forward on to your domain address.

I have used this technique for about 7 years now (and other tricks like never posting your email address online for harvesting) and see only a few spam emails per week? Even with a family of five 😉
Although I am in no way affiliated or on commission, I can’t recommend this company enough for domain names etc because their service has been faultless over the years: Virtualnames

      Nice one; thank you!

As a semi satisified PP user, I went looking for and activated the SMS Security Key to beef up my security. Have had the same mobile/cell # for over a decade now!

The link for the well hidden & hard to find security feature you mentioned is here: SMS Security Key for PP
You can also generate a 6 digit pin to secure telephone contact with PP (or use a one time webcode) from here.

To be really paranoid you could pay PP/feBay for a physical token/key too, which generates 6-digit codes used during the sign-in process, once activated?

TextBridge Pro Millennium works for me on XP and windoze7. It does for me what you have described.
