Sample attached as requested. Appendix B is what is giving me fits. I tried different levels of headings to see how they reacted and they are still in Appendix B. So that will need to be adjusted. I believe you are right that I was modifying the existing outline numbering rather than creating a new one. Not sure how to tell it to create a new one for that section.

I tried this before and I tried it again. It changes my whole document rather than just the one appendix. Yes I am using section breaks!

I think I understand now. Can I give these new headings style names like Heading 10 on top of having the fields in them? I think I can, yes?
