      You were right. Someone had sorted them in attachment order. Carbon based error of course.

      Sorry about truncation – did not notice. The inbox in the folder list might display 10 unread messages, however, there will be one or no unread messages in the inbox folder in the right hand pane. I will check settings you mention on my home PC tonight, however, I doubt if I have any filters of special views set up as the installation is a default one. Will check size of folder to. What is IMO or CW mode?

      Thanks. Will probably leave it as workaround mentioned previously is OK. Thanks for your help guys.

    • in reply to: Wrong version of Acrobat opens in Internet Explore (6) #700644

      Have tried all those things but it still opens up in Acrobat 4.0. There is another CLSID key CA8A9784-280D-11CF-A24D-444553540000 that has an InocProc Server entry to use the Acrobat 4 pdf.ocx. I changed this as well but no go. I also searched the registry for any other pdf.ocx entries and found one other which was using Acrobat 4. Changed that pointer as well but again no go. Unless you have any other suggestions I think I will leave it as I can save the PDF file and then open it in Acrobat 5. Thanks for your help.

      ProgId = PDF.PdfCtrl.1
      Version = 2.0
      Should I change any of these to get this to work?
      Thanks

      I have the full version of Acrobat 4 to create pdf files. I need the Acrobat reader 5 to open some pdf files as they won’t print when opened with version 4. Will look at those registry keys to see what they are.

      Have changed the CLSID entry to point to Acrobat reader 5. But it still opens with Acrobat 4. Will look at R2’s solution as well. Thanks

      Can’t go back far enough for a restore. But will see what step 6 does. Thanks

    • in reply to: can’t uninstall USB driver (SR1) #688340

      Yes. I got these same instructions from the Motorola web site. As soon as I do step 4 I get a BSOD. I need to be able to get rid of the drivers some other way.

    • in reply to: File permissions. #682743

      The files all have the same permissions. I think I have worked it out how I can do it. I will set up a new group and add users to it for that drive.

      In the device manager you need to select to show hidden devices from the view menu option. See if there are any problem devices here.

    • in reply to: Mail merge and Access (Office 2000 and Access 97) #637197

      Yes. Iset that up on Friday and it works fine. However, the person concerned wants to start using Access 2000 as well. Maybe he will have to wait until everyone is converted to Office 2000 if you cannot tell Word which version of Access to open.
