Thanks for your answers, I’m going to update my driver first and see if it

      solve the problem.

Update my video driver and monitor in native resolution and it’s still blurry.

I use a VGA Dsub15 cable but it was ok with Win 7.

Many complaints about that on the web, so i’m not alone.

      Conclusion: problem not fixed !!!

When most of the planet will have moved on Win10 and feel confortable with it, they will stop supporting it and then we are going to get used to Win 11 or wathever they will call it.

It never stops. It takes a long time for tweaking an OS for average knowledge people and

then we have to start again. Very annoying !

I have try this and it doesn’t work.
If anybody knows how to install an update from the MS update catalog, please post how to do it.

Because we have no feed back to know if the rool-up updates are working.

You didn’t understand my problem. I don’t have any problem with windows update, it is working fine.
My problem is when I want to install manually an update dowloaded from the MS update catalog.
I double click on the .msu file and it doesn’t install (message: “looking for updates on this computer” last
      for ever.

Depends where in the world you are “during the night” mate.

Here (Queensland, Australia) I try to schedule updates to run about mid-afternoon our time when most of the “rest of the world” is asleep.

Wow, you are lucky to live in Australia !

If you update during the night, it is faster.

What is the normal behaviour of the windows update icon ? Does it always show in the task bar or it only show when there are updates ?

      marklang:
I did try the GWX first, but that did not solve the issue for me. The only thing that has worked, so far, is the steps I outlined above.
By the way, this is the 2nd day of booting up and the Windows Update Icon is still showing up in the notification area. Hooray!

Are you on Win 7 or Win8, i’m asking you that because the update KB3095649 is for Win 8 . I did what you suggested without installing KB3095649 because i’m on Win7 and my
Windows update icon is still missing. ( I also tried GWX Control Panel).
