What is the difference in term of price for a new computer with Win 11 Home vs the same computer with Win 11 Pro ?

    • in reply to: The local account tax #2768750

Why does anybody told us about this before !

I’m on Windows 10 planning to buy a new computer and I’ve been reading and taking notes

of all the hacks and methods to have a Win11 local account !!

      Thank’s Suzan.

If your external drive is a Samsung and if you have Samsung magician, you have to disable the “CMigrationService”.
      This will solve the problem.

“what about installing the demo version of LTSC and never activating it, is that legal?”

The trial of LTSC will expire, just like all other MS trial software such as Server and Office. And when it expires you will be left with a non functioning PC.

There are some web sites that claims that full LTSC iso, can be activated and continue

to work after 90 days. !!??

Check this post, these are people that uses W11 and/or Win10 LTSC.

It’s in french, just translate it.

Après avoir testé Windows 11 LTSC, je suis revenu directement à Windows 10 LTSC. : r/WindowsLTSC

Yes, as corrected above it is BypassNRO.CMD and it can currently be found in:
      C:\Windows\oobe

Thanks but can you write a detailled procedure on how to do that.

      Also you wrote ” BypassNRO.CMD” !

The capital letters are not the same as your original post. Can you be more precise please.

Thank you for your good work RetiredGeek

There is no OOBE in the C:\windows directory !?

Here’s how to run the BYPASSNRO.exe from your install USB:

      1. Copy BYPASSNRO.exe to you prepared installation USB disk.
      2. Boot the computer from the USB disk and begin setup.
      3. When you get to the point where you need internet disconnect the internet and hit SHIFT+F10.
      4. Type: diskpart [Enter]
      5. Type: list disk [Enter]
      6. Note the disk number of the USB drive (this will be the smallest drive listed.
      7. Type: select disk # [Enter] where # is the info from previous command.
      8. Type: list volume [Enter]
      9. Note the letter of the desired partition.
      10. Type: Exit [Enter]
      11. Type: CD d: [Enter] where d: is the letter of the drive from above.
      12. Type: Bypassnro.exe [Enter]
      13. Installation will continue as expected with the “I don’t have Internet” prompt.

I hope you will post a detailled procedure on how to do that because for a non-geek, it

is unclear. When you say “bypassnro.exe”, did you mean “bypassnro.cmd” ?

If not, “bypassnro.exe” comes from where ?

Thank’s guys for your answers and confirmation of the bug.

I tried to submit it to Microsoft via the Edge “send feedback” but this is disabeled because of my O&O shut up program settings and I don’t know how to enable it back !

Anyway, I doubt they would answer because I don’t have a Microsoft account.

    • in reply to: Edge bug #2747904

      My build number is 19045.5371.

The problem i’m talking about is a Edge setting.

If you use the mouse gesture feature (right button movement to open, close, previous page, etc..) you have the option of not showing on the screen the trail of the movement you did but

since the last version of Edge, this is broken. The trail is visible even when you set the switch

“show mouse trail”  to off. This setting is in “parameters”,”appearence”, “mouse gesture”.
