Found the solution at last. This new XP machine was loaded with Outlook Express as the email client. After trying all I could think of I loaded Outlook to the machine. I did not configure outlook or add any accounts, just loaded a default copy. WHAM Access will now autosend the emails with the attachments…. and sends them from Outlook EXpress!!!!!!!!!

    • in reply to: Draw Enries (2000) #737766

Dear Mark, Many thanks for your prompt reply and this set me off in the right direction. Because I had already in the query the calculation of the number of entries, I created a table from the cartesion join and then ran a query with <=[entries] in the counter field. This was simple and works perfectly. many thanks again.

Thank you for your response Drew. What you say may be the cause. We are creating pages and pages of graphic files in another program and bringing them into FrontPage. For some reason i am told that the links only worked when they were in the root directory. This means that there are well over 1,000 files in the root directory. I will speak to the person who has been maintaining the site. The problem has been that it takes a huge amount of time to reload and FronPage seems to fall over just near the end which is when I think it actually does the files for the search page and other pages that need the extensions.

Many thanks for that Peter and we do the same. The problem comes when There is Mr J Mrs S MrK Miss D Mr L Ms R all memebers of the family and possibly only MsR and Miss D are members of the committe. We do not want to send the item to Mr & Mrs J because that is the main mailing for the family, but only want to send one letter but to the two people or three people from the family.

    • in reply to: Uploading from Frontpage (2000) #555130

The Isp says that we are getting to the size that Frontpage has difficulty in coping with and that perhaps we should look at using Dreamweaver or another product. I resolved the problem for now by removing fronpage extensions and reloading them on the server and by uploading the whole web site each time rather than just changed pages
