      You could try changing the text control to a Drop Down control based on a SELECT DISTINCTROW query. That way you would always have the current available search criteria.

      In the OnClick Event of your checkbox try Me!MyControlName = True

      You can either list each control name or set up a loop.

      Try opening your Word or Excel file through a form in Access by using an Unbound Object Form control. In that way Access doesn’t loose focus.

      As far as I know you can’t undo an .MDE file. Your best bet is to find a copy of the .MDB the .MDE was made from.

      I know this is going to sound strange but global replace produces inconsistent results. For some reason it leaves an occasional (^p^p^p), but moving down one line and deleting the (^P) works.

      Thanks for your time.

      Yes, I do want to know if the insertion point is on the last line of a document.

      I normally program in Access 97 and import a text file into a table. Normally the file is single-spaced, but for some unknown reason once every three months the file comes over double-spaced.

      I used the macro builder in Word 97 to move down one line and delete the extra line. That is where wdLine came from. I really can’t answer questions as to why I would use one command over another and I may not be using the correct terminology. I defer to you and others on this list with more experience to point me in the right direction.

      Thanks

      How would I handle the following:

      Do
      Selection.MoveDown Unit:=wdLine, Count:=1

      If (Test for end of document) Then
      Exit Do

      Else

      End If

      Selection.Delete Unit:=wdCharacter, Count:=1
      Loop

      Thanks

      In a module set a reference to the GroupWise type library

      Add the following code:

      ‘Begin Code
      With New GroupwareTypeLibrary.Application
      Do

      strEmailAddress = ‘Place code here that will loop through your addresses.

      With .Login
      With .MailBox.Messages.Add(Class:=”GW.MESSAGE.MAIL”)
      .Subject.PlainText = “Place subject here”
      .BodyText.PlainText = “See attachment.”
      .Recipients.Add strEmailAddress
      .Recipients.Resolve
      .Attachments.Add “File Location .xls”
      .Send
      End With
      End With

      Loop Until .EOF ‘ Your address file

      .Quit

      End With

      ‘End Code

      The easiest way would be to base the form on a query that you choose which fields to display.

      The next step is to apply security to your database.

      March 11, 2003 at 5:18 pm in reply to: Simple queries in VBA/Access (Access 2000 SR1) #660318

      Place the following in an SQL view of a query:

      SELECT Contacts.*
      FROM Contacts
      WHERE (((Contacts.PrimaryKey)=111));

      Then switch back to the query grid and change the 111 to the primary key you are looking for.
