      Hans, I noticed your post after I posted mine.

      Yours looks like it would work, but I am needing to push from Access to Excel rather than pull data into Excel from Access.

      Thanks for the code, though. I will keep that for sure!

      After I posted this, I continued looking and found this code. I modified it to split the results into different workbooks based on a given field in the query/table. If a given set of data > 65k rows, it splits it into 2 tabs.

      WOW was it faster than my method.

      I hope this helps someone else.

      I’ve tried that, too. Same error.

      Right now I’m trying exporting the data to a .txt file then re-importing but disallowing duplicates.

      Is it possible to have that cell = the VALUE rather than be linked?

      But it hasn’t.

      This has been happening for a few weeks…on multiple computers.

      Hmmm…I’m not interested in doing the security thing and there are no forms, just tables.

      Thanks for the info on security, though. I’ve never really known much about it.

      March 9, 2008 at 5:48 am in reply to: if value between 2 numbers… (2003) #1101276

      Well, I rethought it and went with this:

      =IF(E8<122,"BT",IF(E8<=142,"AT",IF(E8<=153,"OT","BT")))

      Still curious if there is a better way to do the inbetween…

      Thanks!

      So my best option is to loop thru the file, character by character, until I find a line feed and consider that a line for processing, right?

      When I copy/paste the CONTENTS of the file to a new file, it works, but the original file does not…
