      Thanks folks!

      I have this variant:

]“Artificial Intelligence (AI) Host for the Microsoft® Windows® Operating System and Platform x64.”

I’ll read the other threads again, but it looks like I need the  “NoAI.Bat”  solution  ;-0

      Peter:

      Nice article, Thanks!

I have “super classic”  Office Professional 2021 LT license

In some update in the last few months they added AI/CoPilot to my install.

It shows up in the task list as:

“Artificial Intelligence (AI) Host for the Microsoft® Windows® Operating System and Platform x64.”

It seems to be slowing my machine down, and I don’t want it…

Yet I can’t find the “disable” button that seems to work for 365

      Any thoughts?

      Thanks,

      Jim

I’ve been a subscriber to SpinRite since I think V3.1, still have it.

For my everyday machines I monitor the SSDs with this: https://www.hdsentinel.com/

Dynamite program and the developer is VERY responsive.

For the record, I’m just a happy customer, I have no affiliation w/ the company.

      Hi Susan!

      Thanks for your time!

Yes, connecting to “hotel” wifi most every night but I do use a VPN.

Sorry to have left that out … I could not tell from the announcement if the VPN offered protection or not  :-/

      again, THANKS!

      Yeah…………..

I’m traveling, I live in the USA but I’m on a motorcycle in Belize.

I have the permanent license of Office 2021 32-bit running on the current version of Win10

I have automatic updates suspended, and have had it that way since before the June patches dropped.

Should I do the “click-to-run” patch listed on the CVE page and wait on the rest,

      install all,

or do nothing except have another cold adult beverage?  😉

      Thanks,

      Jim

I missed the iCloud for Windows announcement – THANKS for leading me to that!
One of the release notes says:

      • Resolves contact and calendar syncing problems with Outlook
(requires the latest version of Windows 11, version 22H2 or later).

That strikes me as odd, I’m still on W10 and had planned to stick with it until it gets close to end-of-support….

      Always something….  :-/

      Lance:

      Thanks for this “how-to” !

I have been hoping that Phone Link would evolve to support synchronization of contacts and calendar between Outlook and the iPhone. I have been using iTunes to sync, but it appears that iTunes may be going end-of-life sometime soon since Apple has released a new suite of software for Windows OS. Unfortunately I don’t see a new sync. tool.

This question is somewhat off-topic, so feel free to ignore me, but if you are aware of any new solutions for sync-ing Outlook to the iPhone I’d be much appreciative.

      Thanks,
      Jim
