Unless proven otherwise, I assume it’s all just marketing. MS wants to sell more copies of Windows, on more PCs.

Everything else is OK, including TPM 2 (I was surprised to see).

My three-year-old XPS 15 — my last remaining Windows machine — ain’t good enough.

Sniff.

I guess an i7-7700HQ doesn’t pass muster. Just like the three-year-old Surfaces.

I’m reminded of the time an anonymous poster responded to a level-headed thread on using computers during the COVID crisis by saying COVID-19 is just like the flu.

I rue the day I let that post stand.

Everyone I know says that Chris has done an amazing job in a very tough situation.

Ah well. Here’s hoping he gets star status in the next administration – if he wants it, after all the malarkey he’s been through.
