For a second I thought the new version was finally out. Maybe next year.

I once felt compelled to stay on that speeding, bleeding edge.

I am quite happy now on the ‘healing edge’. 🤗

There is always a ‘middle way’ with regulation, stray from that and troubles will ensue.

    • in reply to: Apple AirPods Pro 2 as Hearing Aids #2723249

I am a little confused, my first impression was that the sound waves were being picked up and sent to the AirPods FROM the IPhone. (which would cause the battery to be drained from the BT radio).

There are cheaper hearing aid type devices available now for a fraction of the price of a ‘HEARING AID’, which have been kept at a very dear cost by audiologists.

What is the advantage of this arrangement besides ‘coolness’ ?

(check out this Amazon search, for example).

Ed I just gotta ask, How did you get that link specifics? Cut and paste from your Amazon search or some secret cookbook?

If social media like tictok is not a threat/potential threat why does the PRC prohibit Facebook and not tictok? Its because FB is from ‘there’ for China and tictok is from ‘here’ for them. Just the opposite for us.

      Ok got it now
Turns out it was a Ipad Mini6. The Ipad gives a phony MAC as its address to help prevent across network tracking.

Thanks again to all. And a Happy 🎃

it could be a randomized MAC.

As an example, many phones these days publish a randomized MAC address so maybe look for devices on your network that have that capability.

I’m sure you’ve already made a list of all your devices and compared it to what your router is saying.

I am suspecting that but any devices I can think of here do not have DEV-6E:1F:F2 as a name likely I did something I forgot about . 🙄😣

Ok but I still wish to know how it got cachens3.mcleodusa.net, where DOES that come from? I see no relation to anything, it had to come from some place. I maybe will look into where nslookup gets that info.
