AskWoody PlusI like FastStone Capture quite a bit. Typically I use the portable version so I don’t have to install anything. $20 for a lifetime license which gets update periodically with some very nice features.

AskWoody PlusJanuary 9, 2022 at 1:22 pm in reply to: Tip for the weekend – scanning for Log4j vulnerabilities #2411739It is probably best to redirect to a text file which will make it easier to read once it is finished. Putting the scanner on a network share with a BAT file to call it will make it even easier to run on multiple machines. Just right click the BAT and Run as administrator.
Code:\\SERVER\SHARE$\Log4jScanner\x64\Log4jScanner.exe > c:\%COMPUTERNAME%_log4jscanner_results.txt

AskWoody PlusNovember 28, 2018 at 7:38 am in reply to: Yes, the next cumulative update for Win10 version 1809 will fix the mapped drive and default program problems #236860FYI…
I see the 1809 feature update available on my WSUS server this morning. I’m going to decline it until I hear that it is truly fixed.

AskWoody PlusIn the article Michael suggests using NetStumbler to discover the channels of wireless signals in the area. It has not been updated in a very long time and may not work correctly with newer versions of the Windows OS. I would like to suggest inSSIDer available at,
http://www.metageek.net/products/inssider
As an added bonus, it gives a graphic representation of the wireless signals and can show both 2.4GHz and 5GHz.
