Yes, I’m doing that now. I’ll install to another SSD, create new Recovery keys again in that OS and then wipe out the current drive C. I have current TeraByte Image for Windows backups for all drives and I’ll create a new ones for 23H2 as I add dozens of programs and tweaks.

    • I’m giving up on 24H2, and since I’m encountering a new issue, will go back to that forum.

    • I tried that and on rebooting, five keyboard devices were restored. All were standard USB. I understand that is normal for a single keyboard, to allow for custom overlays, etc.

Now, Control Panels Programs, Services and Revo and Regedit find no “Apex”, “GG”, “Steelcase” or other installed software for my keyboard. I bought a Logitech MX Keys S wireless keyboard replacement, and it replicated the same uncontrollable scrolling. It’s not the keyboard or mouse, it’s Win 11 24H2.

I’m going to reinstall the latest Apex 3 GG software and if it does not fix my issue, I’ll wipe my C drive and do a clean install of 23H2. I’m not going to update to 24H2 until Susan Bradley gives a green light.

    • I will try that and maybe avoid buying and testing a cheap USB KB with no gaming, LED overlays, CPU temp monitoring that gets installed. Thanks

    • Thanks -I disconnected my Steelcase Apex 3 KB and without rebooting, the problem stopped. I went to Device manager and it showed five keyboard devices, the first one of which was the Apex. The rest (MS, Logi, or Standard USBs) showed all drivers up to date and working. I deleted those, and then things got snarly. I had to reconnect the Apex in order to get the onscreen kb pinned to my taskbar. Of course, that involved a continuously-moving app list and I was finally able to get that done. I then rebooted, and tried to do typical business tasks using only the onscreen keyboard for everything including logins, password lists, unlocking Bitlocker SSDs, etc. It was too difficult for anything requiring typing. I do screen-sharing consulting in many states, and no one will want to watch that!

I then opened Win 11 Services, and tried to get at one Steelcase-related service set for delayed start. With a lot of enter and tab keys I was lucky to land on it but when I select manual or disabled, it automatically went back to delayed start. I also deleted my Asus TUF Armoury app which could be affecting my Apex colors. I’m not a gamer and use the keyboard only for its very good backlighting, volume control and tactile feel. I may have to get a basic keyboard to confirm if it is the Apex or any keyboard issue.

Your excellent article explained why my attempts to relocate Photo, Documents and Desktop folders to other drives was also futile. I have MS 365 Personal with 1TB of Onedrive cloud storage. Despite having built my Win 11 desktop with 3 fast Sata SSDs and 4 M.2 motherboard drives totaling 7500gb, my dedicated, synced 2tb M.2 OneDrive offline partition is “full” at 993gb. I used an app called Syncovery Pro to move those default folders to fast, Bitlocked non-Onedrive M.2.s dedicated to “My Documents, My Photos, My Desktop, etc. It took hours, and did not reduce a single gb of my full Onedrive cloud storage. Microsoft says I just need to buy more cloud storage from them. Why would I do that? I’m considering going back to SYNC.com and dropping OneDrive. I also rely on Terabytes Image for Windows to back up my system and data files (inc. OneDrive) to external drives. I just cannot feel confident to rely only on cloud-based backups and storage for my business and personal data.

Thank you your comprehensive article. I installed what seemed to be a worthwhile program that would allow me to select what would be useful. There is a substantial learning curve full of complexities, and I tried a few applets. They are not causing any harm but are irritating as there is no apparent way to uninstall them.

Evidence of WPA2Gen is not found in my Win 10 pro 64 search index other than its download source; or in control panel Programs and Features, or found by Belarc Advisor (which usually finds everything ancient and new). I then edited the installed features that always appear on my screen when Win 10 loads. I unclicked or left blank all options such as load at boot, display choices, etc but doing so had no impact. They are aggressively persistent. I’ve not experienced this in my 25 years since I tried Quarterdeck’s DeskView before going (painfully) with Windows 1.0.

      Any advice will be appreciated
