      Hi samgreen3:

Right-click what to open what “old school” menu? Could you provide an image?

Anything. I’m assuming you’re using the small icons view as you should be. right click any thing there  i.e. Devices and  printers. power options.

    • You can use Windows backup and restore found in the control panel. I personally prefer to use Veeam Free for this and set it to run on a schedule. Both options allow for an image to be made or just selected files/folders.

I found a fix for this. It restored my functionality perfectly

      • if you have multiple profiles this may affect all of them use at your own risk!

      Please follow the steps :
      1. Click Start > Run (or Cmd+R).
      2. Run this command: reg add HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Setup /v DisableRoamingSignaturesTemporaryToggle /t REG_DWORD /d 1
      3. Restart Outlook.

The cases mentioned directly in this thread are not subscription Microsoft 365, but Home and Business; so presumably can’t switch channels (and don’t get new features often)?

Correct. still no word from Google on this.

After much digging. this is a Google issue. They are aware of it.

Oddly none of that worked.. I even performed a “long: repair of Office, tried disabling roaming signatures via the registry. I guess next I’ll just create a new outlook profile and see if that does it. I also have at least one co-worker with this issue and another without it.

This is what i suspect. They are a Google Workspace based outfit as are we. so no signing into MS needed for standalone versions of office..

This is a much larger issue.. I even have it now on outlook2019 H&B

All of the 3 options for what signature to use where are greyed out. There is ongoing chatter about it in the Microsoft support forums, but no fix as of yet. uninstalling kb5022497(most recent) did nothing as well

*when you do the long repair, you are required to sign back in to the MS account associated with that install and they do not know this information  so we will not be going that route :/

None of that worked. But thank you!

    • Ran into this exact problem last week. even removing the kb and nuking the account in outlook the proper way failed to correct it. what happened in my users case was this corrupted the user profile in windows which MS confirmed on a support call.  creating a New profile fixed it. Windows 10 2004. Office 2016 Home and Business stand alone not the o365 version but Microsoft is hosting their mail.
