I think you are definitely on the right track. Being a VBA newby, I was wondering what some of the code might look like. I think I can build the UserForm, but I am unclear as to what the code looks like to get the values from the UserForm to named ranges on the spreadsheet. As far as having this happen everytime the workbook opens, is there such a thing as an Autonew macro that would only open when you use the template to create a new document?

      Thanks for your help.

You will need a graphics package capable of importing a .vsd file. I checked on PowerPoint 97 and it does not seem to have the capability to import Visio drawings. With Microsoft acquiring Visio recently, perhaps PowerPoint 2000 has this capability. If you have another graphics package you can check and see if it has this capability. There may also be some way of importing it into Word as an object; however, I am not sure how to do that. I am sorry I can’t be of more help.

I checked the Visio Help info and found the following information:

“With some vector-based graphics, such as Adobe Illustrator (.ai), CorelDRAW! (.cdr), Encapsulated PostScript (.eps), and Micrografx Designer (.drw) files, lines may appear jagged in the Visio drawing. You may get better results with these file formats if you convert rather than import them.”

It would appear that conversion is the recommended route, but why not try a few and see if what you get is satisfactory. I have Visio 5 Professional. If your version is different this may not apply. HTH

Thanks to you both. I appreciate your help with this. Charlotte, I will do some further investigation on the Send Mail product, in the meantime, if you wouldn’t mind posting the code you mentioned. Again many thanks for the help and insight of you both.

The object is not to drive the PM crazy, but to nag him a bit. Since these are relatively small projects, I don’t anticipate more than one or two “issues” a day on a bad day — on larger projects, you are right, you would drive him crazy with e-mails and I agree, it would be better to log to a file and have him check the log at intervals. I was interested in whether it could be done and how one might do it.
