    • Hi Alex,

Just to clarify, the users could not connect to the M365 Exchange server.

I had a few users the day before, with content missing problem. They were connected to the M365 Exchange server but content was not showing up. I was aware of this issue.

EP pointed out that the patch I removed was for version 1909. This was set to expire on May 11, 2021. I did not notice that the computers in question never received option to update. I did a manual update to 20H2 and this fixed the issue with Outlook connecting.

Just posting in case someone else has the same problem.

    • Hi EP,

Thanks for the info. I do see that 1909 was to expire on the 11th.

Problem is these machines are not being offered any feature updates, and are currently on 1909. They are not restricted from receiving these updates.

This gives me something to look into.

      Thanks !!!

    • Hi All,

      Anyone else seeing this issue?

I had 4 users who had Outlook disconnected from M365 Exchange. It was trying to reconnect and could not. Did normal reboot and issue persisted.

Removed update KB5003169 which was installed last night and this solved the problem.

      Thanks in advance,

    • Hi Woody,

Thanks for all your hard work.

I have “Windows Update for Business” -> “Select when Preview Builds and Feature Updates are Received”  Enabled for our domain.

I am going to review in case there is an option I also need on.
Otherwise, MS is ignoring this setting.

      Thanks !!

Forgot to Add Win 10 Pro on Domain joined computers.

    • The update crashes one of our applications.

I roll Windows back. Checking the box that it causes problems for me.

Right after the roll back, Windows starts to download the update again and sets the system to do the update on the next restart.

      Thanks Microsoft!

    • Thank you, but that is not an option for us. The vendor updated the application a while back and removed features that we needed. So we were stuck on this version and it was working without issues. 1903 breaks the application, I am going to trace and see what I find.

    • Windows 10-1903 Breaks one of our applications.

I have machines at 1809 telling me that 1903 is ready to download.
The problem is that I have an application that is starting to cause problems before the download. And when you download and update, the application breaks.

I did a new install of Windows 10 – 1903 – 18362.239 and then installed the application and it breaks.
I tried compatibility options and trouble shooter but this does not fix the problem.
The forced update will break the application for 60 people.
      Below is the error.
Not good at all, application that has been running on Win 10 all this time is now breaking.

      Win10Error

    • MrPhelps,
My exact thoughts on both your points.
The machines that are exposed to the Internet are patched.
The ones behind my firewall are configured to only accept RDP connections from specific sources. Those machines are slow to patch because I lost a lot of confidence in Microsoft this first quarter with the Windows 10 problem patches which hit me hard.
      Thanks,
      Victor
