Yes that happens where a user deletes the volume instead of reformatting said volume. Rebuild the MBR with CMD is then needed..

God no it is pumping out blue screens very unstable. Don’t want to loose data. Not backed up !

If I could get outlook to connect to gmail all would be right in my world …

I don’t want to appear rude but I would recommend to recover what you can and advise the purchase of a new / recon PC. 10 years, the machine has served well but time to go to PC gods in the sky …. Best of luck !

When I attempted to installed W10 via usb on a new ssd it shut off after 30 seconds. I think we have a bad mobo..

Have done all of the above. Also repasted the cpu. Voltage tested the PSU all good.

System boots W10 from USB no issues.

Seems that the shut off happens only when the sata’s are connected. So if I disconnect the ssd the pc stays on.

Picking up a new ssd tomorrow to test. If that fails my guess is mobo.

No my point is, it doesn’t matter how secure the application is if the device is not secure.

Doesn’t really matter how good the encryption on the apps are if the device is not secure. Most devices and espically mobile devices are not secure.

Ok I rebooted and now Chrome is saved and opening as default browser. No idea a reboot would fix it!!!

Managed to change from the Edge logo to the Chrome logo but, if you look on the left, it still states “Microsoft edge HTML document”

Still stuck on Edge as default.

Normally yes, but not in this case. Even your simple one, which I tried first by the way, does not work. It seems MS is making it difficult to shy away from Edge. Never seen it this bad before.

22H2 thats why i’m posting in the 22H2 forum. Even though for some reason it ended up in the W11 section. Haven’t seen an update brake through like this, well maybe towards the end of W7. I guess W11 is hunting us down ….

I just stopped the processes and manually deleted all contextual audio files and foldaer. Problem solved….
